Forepoint — Campaign to stop children vaping.
This project will see me take on different angles to tackle the issue of young people vaping.
Existing, successful campaigns.
Women's sports branding from what was the W Series, now F1 Academy.
Some successful branding — Formule E and Who Gives A Crap.
Vape branding.
Anti Smoking campaign posters.
Billboard advertisements that catch my eyes.
Pentagram's rebrand fro Channel 4.
First bits of research and initial ideas.
Typeface experiments.
Idea to hide famous landmarks from people vaping.
A lightbulb moment with a new, potentially good idea.
Asking people to vape upwards in front of a camera for me.
Using Photoshop to enhance the smoke and change the background.
Attempting to add some text to the images.
Using some stock imagery to see if it can be more successful.
Reworking the photos I took with different styled typography.
Looking into brightly coloured vape packaging and some fun typography.
Trying different side effects text in a script typeface.
Exploring some different gradients like top vape brands.
Looking into Nicotine warning on packaging.
I saw an opportunity to rewrite some of the warning labels to fit around some of the side effects from vaping in a creative way so here is a start to that.
Creating a rough net for the vape box.
Looking into colourful package designs.
Creating a colourful pattern.
A project David Carson shared this week with lovely typography.
Trying to recreate Carson's latest work.
Editing imagery to have a more correlated colour palette.
New idea for the packaging for the vapes by using recyclable paper trimmings to replicate the vape clouds while making it feel higher market too.
Testing the new name of the vapes by adding 'ola' to the end of all of the side effects as different flavours and putting them on a rough design.
Creating a style that is easier on the eyes.
Comparing the colours if they were flipped.
Adding in the health warnings.
Mocking up the vape colours using the gradient tool in Photoshop.
Adding each flavour logo to the vape mockups.
Creating a simple logo for 'ola' which is meant to be the main brand of the vapes.
Adding little details to the vapes to make them feel more realistic.
Getting all the labels to size ready for printing and testing on an actual vape.
Using some cardboard texture to start to visualise the box design.
Adding a strap line for the vape boxes as I start to introduce some sarcastic copy writing.
Trying different layout variations.
Using the 'O' in 'ola' as the background for the box design.
Giving it another g with a smaller 'O'.
Adding all the other designs to the same layout to make sure they all work together.
